Setting Up Email on Your Phone or Computer
Use these settings to configure Outlook, Apple Mail, iPhone, Android, or any other email client. Your username is your full email address, not just the part before the @.
Incoming Mail (IMAP)
Server: mail.b.hostedemail.com
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLS
Username: Full email address
Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
Server: mail.b.hostedemail.com
Port: 465 or 587
Security: SSL/TLS
Username: Full email address
IMAP keeps your email synced across all devices. We recommend it over POP3 for most users.
Common Issues
-
I forgot my password
Contact us and we’ll reset it. While you’re in, go to Settings → Password Recovery and add a recovery option so you can reset it yourself next time.
-
My email stopped working after a password change
Go into your email app settings and update the saved password. The app stored your old one and won’t update automatically.
-
I got a new phone and need to set up email
Use the server settings above. If you get stuck, reach out and we’ll walk you through it.
-
Outlook stopped syncing
Check that the server and port settings match exactly. Outlook sometimes changes settings during updates. Re-entering the account from scratch usually fixes it.
-
I can receive email but can’t send
Almost always an outgoing (SMTP) settings issue. Check the server, port, and that SSL/TLS is on. Port 587 is a good fallback if 465 isn’t working.
-
My whole email is down or messages are bouncing

A Few Things Worth Knowing
- Set up password recovery as soon as you log in. Go to Settings → Password Recovery and add a recovery email or phone number. This is the only way to reset your own password without calling us.
- Your login is your full email address, not just the part before the @.
- Passwords are case-sensitive. If it was working and suddenly isn’t, caps lock is the first thing to check.
- If you’re on a shared or public computer, use the webmail portal above and close the browser when you’re done.
Still Using Gmail or Yahoo for Business?
If you’re still sending business email from a Gmail, Yahoo, or AOL address, that’s worth fixing. A branded email address – you@yourbusiness.com – looks more professional, builds trust with clients, and keeps your business communication separate from your personal accounts.
Yellowfin sets up and manages hosted business email for clients across the United States. Setup is straightforward and we handle the technical side.
