Websites don’t usually break all at once. A plugin update knocks out a page, a form stops sending and nobody notices, a host moves something behind the scenes, and one day a piece you counted on is just gone. Whatever shape yours is in, it can almost always be fixed.
We Fix Websites Other People Built
Plenty of the sites we fix, we didn’t build, and whoever did has long since moved on. That’s fine. We’ll work out how it was put together and where it went wrong. The person who figures that out is the same one who fixes it, and who picks up when you call about it later.
What We Fix
- Broken pages, errors, and dead links
- Hacked, infected, or Google-flagged sites
- Layouts that break on a phone
- Forms and features that stopped working
- Slow sites that lose visitors
Why People Call Us
- Something broke and the last developer is gone
- The site works but looks neglected
- No time to make the changes themselves
- Locked out of their own website
- They want one person who actually picks up
Before and after: Dr. Matt Chiropractic, a malware-infected site rescued and rebuilt from the ground up.
We Find the Cause, Not Just the Symptom
A slow page and a hacked site can look the same from the outside. So we don’t start swinging before we know what’s actually going on. More often than not, the real problem isn’t the one you called about.
Once we’ve found it, you get it straight: here’s what’s wrong, here’s what it takes to fix, here’s the cost. You say the word and we go. You’ll know the price and the plan before we touch a thing.
Common Website Problems We Solve
If your site’s doing any of these, it’s costing you visitors and calls right now. These are the ones that come up most.

A Repair That Started as a Rescue
Dr. Matt Chiropractic, voted Best Chiropractor on Long Island, came to Yellowfin with a website that told the opposite story. PHP errors on every page, a black homepage, missing images, and malware running through files on a theme too old to run on current WordPress. Patients landing on it had no reason to stay.
The fix started as a full recovery, malware removal, a server migration, a theme replacement, and a complete WordPress rebuild. Once it was stable, the site was rebuilt around what a patient actually searches for. Today Yellowfin still handles the hosting and keeps it visible across Nassau County.
Inherited a Site You Can't Get Into?
A lot of these calls start the same way. Whoever built the site is gone, the login doesn’t work, and sometimes the domain itself has slipped away. You’re not stuck. Most of the time we can recover the access and the hosting, and once we do, it’s all yours again.
Bring whatever you’ve got, a domain name, an old invoice, an email from years back, and we work backward from there. We once tracked down a domain that was gone entirely and reacquired it through escrow before rebuilding the site on top of it.
Not Broken, Just Need a Change?
Plenty of what we do isn’t a repair at all. It’s the steady stream of small changes that keep a working site current, and they add up faster than you’d think. We got into that here: how small adjustments make a big difference.
Sometimes a Fix Is Enough. Sometimes It Isn't.
Not every problem needs a rebuild, and not every old site is worth saving. It comes down to what’s underneath. If the bones are good, a repair’s faster and cheaper than starting over, and that’s usually the way we go. If it’s built on something dated and fighting you at every turn, you’ll hear that too, with the reason, and we can talk about a redesign or rebuild instead.
The Best Repair Is One You Never Need
Most of the emergencies we get called for started months back, as something small nobody caught. Done right, the work’s invisible. Your site loads, your forms send, your plugins stay current, and you never think about why. That’s what a care plan’s for, and if you’d rather not think about your website at all, that’s the whole point of it.

Common Questions
Can you fix a website you didn't build?
Yes, and that’s most of what we do. We dig into what’s there, work out how it was built, and fix it from there, WordPress or not. You don’t need to know how it was put together. That part’s on us.
What if I don't have my login or hosting info?
Happens all the time, and it’s usually recoverable. Bring whatever you’ve got, a domain name, an old invoice, an email from whoever set it up, and we work backward to find the hosting and get access. Most of the time you walk away owning your site again.
How fast can you fix it?
Most small fixes are done in a day or two. Bigger ones depend on what’s actually wrong, and you’ll have a price and a timeline before anything starts, so it’s never open-ended. See our full process and pricing.
Can you fix a Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify site?
Often, yes, for content and display fixes. Some platforms lock down what anyone can change under the hood, so we’ll tell you straight what’s possible and what isn’t. If the platform itself is the problem, you’ll hear that too.
Do I have to sign up for a monthly plan?
Nope. Repairs and updates are pay as you go, one fix at a time. A care plan is there if you want ongoing coverage, but it’s never a requirement to get something fixed.
Is it worth repairing, or should I start over?
Depends on the bones. If the foundation’s solid, a repair’s the better value and we’ll say so. If it’s built on something dated and fighting you, a rebuild can cost less over time. Either way you get the straight answer.
