Website Redesign & Development

Mooselax Lacrosse Club is a youth lacrosse development program on Long Island, running club teams, clinics, and training for players from their first stick to competitive club play, with players from its original team going on to play lacrosse in college. The club found Yellowfin through a Google search for a local Long Island WordPress redesign specialist.

It was a natural fit. Yellowfin is owned by a former lacrosse player and Marine Corps veteran, and the club is led by an Army veteran. When a program talks about grit and earning what you work for, nobody on this project needed it explained.

The site looked dated. Photos at mismatched heights, a carousel that jumped every time it rotated, a menu that no longer matched the programs, and no clear path for a parent trying to figure out where their kid belonged. The usual answer to a site like that is a full rebuild. It wasn’t the right answer here.

Sometimes a site doesn’t need to be rebuilt. It needs someone who knows what they’re looking at. Under the surface, the bones were good: a solid WordPress install, Beaver Builder, and a LeagueApps registration system the club’s families already depended on. Tearing that down would have meant paying to rebuild what already worked, and putting registrations at risk in the middle of a season. So Yellowfin redesigned the site in place.

A new global header and footer. A full homepage redesign built from the club’s own mockup, including a five-step Program Pathway that walks parents from a first clinic all the way to club team play. Eight new pages, four policy pages, a News section the club posts to themselves, and every image on the site sized and aligned so the layout finally holds together. All of it built with native Beaver Builder tools, so the club can keep editing its own content without calling a developer for every change.

Same platform. Same registration system. A site that finally looks like the program behind it. Yellowfin continues with ongoing monthly development as the club tightens up the rest of the site, page by page.
