Refugee Action Fund
Nonprofit Website Migration & Preservation
Refugee Action Fund launched in 2016 to mobilize philanthropic support for people displaced by violence and natural disaster – funding organizations on the ground providing safety, shelter, and basic dignity to refugees fleeing for their lives. In 2022, the organization closed its active operations and merged its mission into Choose Love, one of the leading refugee relief organizations in the world.
Before closing, Refugee Action Fund needed to make sure the record of their work didn’t disappear with them. Years of impact reporting, blog content, event history, grantee documentation, and organizational history were all sitting on a NationBuilder platform – a system built for political campaigns, not long-term preservation. Yellowfin migrated the entire site off NationBuilder and rebuilt it on WordPress, consolidating their online presence into a single portable platform that could be maintained independently going forward.
The result is a permanent, accessible archive of everything Refugee Action Fund built over six years – their grantees, their impact, their blog, their leadership, and their story – preserved cleanly and available to anyone who wants to understand what they accomplished.
Not every project is a launch. Sometimes the work is making sure something important doesn’t get lost.

“Refugee Action Fund launched in 2016 in response to the growing number of people displaced from their homes as a result of violence and natural disaster. Our goal was to mobilize our networks to provide support to organizations providing safety and restoring humanity to people who were fleeing for their lives. In 2022, Refugee Action Fund closed its operations and joined forces with Choose Love to carry our mission forward.”

Our Work
Refugee Action Fund is one of nearly three decades of client projects. The portfolio covers small business sites, nonprofit builds, ecommerce stores, and everything in between – across industries, budgets, and project types. If you see something that looks like what you need, that’s where the conversation starts.
Every project is scoped individually. No packages, no guesswork – just a straight conversation about what you need and what it will take to build it right.
